Already inaugurated at the recent 63rd Ulm BetonTage, the author will already have met many of you, dear readers, at a wide range of technical trade shows, tours of concrete plants or other events of the industry. As a result, a genuine died-in-the wool concrete specialist will now hold the reins. As qualified construction worker by trade, and as construction engineer and concrete technologist, he is eminently versed in the field. Within a short time, a second editor will join the editorial office, whom we will introduce to you in our next bauma issue.

| | In 2018 the well-known German company Würschum installed a new high precisions granular system COM 70 at Kreher Beton in Aschaffenburg, Germany. The system is equipped with 8 colour positions which meter in a stationary weigh hopper. This provides for very short cycle times and unlimited colour matching without changing positions. The system is installed at ground level in one row. A custom made feature is the heating of the dosing unit. Both concrete mixers have their independent filter cyclones.
