Robots to sort scrap metal at Skrotfrag in Sweden

Swedish scrap processing company Skrotfrag installs a robotic sorting line for scrap metal. The sorting line, equipped with a three-armed ZenRobotics Heavy Picker, will be the third of its kind in Sweden. URT – successful in plastic sorting
 
URT Umwelt- und Recyclingtechnik GmbH reached a big milestone by commissioning a plastic sorting line for their Russian client Ecoplast. The concept and design of this line was done in partnership with HERMION, B.V. The plastic sorting line went into operation in April 2019 and enables a sorting of PS, ABS, PE/PP, with high purities. In the same process plastics with flame retardants and metal impurities are removed. The technology is based on floating. The design capacity is 5 t/h.
