1. How can I specify
a part uniquely (send an identifier) for communication purposes?
The MIDENT is a
text string, which uniquely identifies each part. You can send this string
to anyone via e-mail whereby the recipient can open the specified part in
his application.
In order to
determine the MIDENT of a certain part proceed as follows:
Open the part
and in the Extras menu, click
on the command Open part by
MIDENT.
-> The
same-named dialog box opens.
Copy the
MIDENT into the clipboard and send it via e-mail for example.
Opening
of the specified part on recipient side
In the
Extras menu, click on the command Open part by MIDENT.
-> The
same-named dialog box opens.
Paste the text
string into the dialog box.
Click on
Ok.
-> The
desired part is opened in the Part view.
