1. How can I carry
out a Geometric Search with a reference model from file system or
CAD?
You can carry out
a geometric search based on a reference model from file system or CAD.
Different neutral formats (STEP, IGES, JT, etc.) are possible and just as
well native formats. When using native formats the CAD system has to be
started.
Click on
Geometric search (3D).
-> The
same-named dialog box opens.
When
clicking on Geometry from CAD, the part or assembly selected in CAD is loaded into
the dialog.
When
clicking on Load geometry,
an Explorer window opens where you can browse to the desired
geometry.
Click on
Commit. (When clicking on Commit and Search, the search is started
immediately.)
Possibly
remove the check at the input field of Full-text search and then click on
Start search.
-> The
results are listed.
