1. How can I restrict a search to certain catalogs or directories?

In order for desired results to be displayed with a top ranking and to save scrolling through the list, it is recommended to restrict the search to certain catalogs or directories.

  1. Open the list field under Search in and click on Custom selection....

    -> The dialog box Search path selection is opened.

  2. On the left under Current selection, activate the checkbox at desired (sub)directories.

    This could be your own parts catalog or a certain supplier catalog (or several) or a certain classification, etc. If needed, open the tree and activate subdirectories.

  3. Under Template name, insert a meaningful name and click on Save.

    For individual specific searches create your own personal templates. The strength of user defined templates becomes effective in particular with combinations of catalogs/subdirectories.

    In less complex cases and when no importance is attached to repeatability, multiple selection via Ctrl key can also be used.

    -> The name is entered under User defined templates.

  4. Close the dialog by clicking Ok.

  5. In the list field under Search in, now select your template just created.

  6. Click on Start search.
