Comfortable and in many cases quickly successful is the use of Full-text search with a combination of terms and numerical values.

When searching for hexagon bolt with nominal thread diameter 30 and length 100, simply use the following expression:

hexagon bolt 30 100

-> You will receive exact hits. Possibly some mismatches also occur, because the desired values are also part of other variables than length and nominal diameter.

If variable names are known (and this presumably will be the case for bolts), you can use them for the search specification. In this way unwanted hits are excluded. (Disadvantage is the exclusion of useful results if the variable names are not consistently used in all catalogs.)
