1. How can I quickly determine part dimensions and single measures?

When activating the Measuring grid, you have an optimal overview on part dimensions. In the toolbar of the 3D view, simply click on the icon Show measuring grid.

Example: Measuring grid activated and 2 planar planes selected

Just when the table does not offer any information on details, you can quickly determine them with the help of the measuring function. For this, in the context menu of the 3D view, click on Measure....

When calling the Measure command, the mouse pointer gets an object related geometry symbol in the 3D view, which is signalizing the type of the touched element.

When clicking one or two objects (e.g. plane, edge, compare above figure) or e.g. bores/cylinders, compare below figure), in the measuring dialog, the result is displayed.

Possible geometry symbols:

Bores and cylinders

Conical faces

Circular edges

Planar planes

Straight edge

Toroidal faces
