About us
Linking people, driving innovation. LIGNA is THE world's leading trade fair for the international woodworking community. For 50 years, it has been shaping the future of the woodworking and wood processing industry. Innovative companies from all over the world present their ideas, technologies, products and services in 10 exhibition halls and on the open-air site. The unique gathering of companies from the primary and secondary industries at LIGNA makes this trade fair the ideal place to establish, maintain and expand regional and international business partnerships and networks. Especially impressive: the high amount of decision-makers and the quality and quantity of international visitors. There is probably no better place in the world for the entire woodworking community to meet new contacts and, above all, do business. Don't miss the chance to be there when the future is being shaped! Make 2025 count!

LIGNA reposted this
Head of LIGNA - Projektleitung LIGNA // Member of the Board of DIPA e.V. (Digital Printing Association)
A farewell note Join me and the entire team today in saying goodbye to one of the hearts and minds of LIGNA This week we bid farewell to Elke Hein, the last decades Project Director for LIGNA. And if you are like us, saying goodbye to someone you worked with for such a long time, makes you want to put your favorite movie on re-run. So we pin our happy memories together with some sad emotions to the pinterest board and say thank you from the bottom of our blue LIGNA hearts for * the heartiest laughter * the most trustworthy and loyal colleague of all times * the open, honest, valuable exchanges and discussions * the never-ending knowledge and expertise acquired in decades of working with and for the woodworking community * being our go-to source for a lot of LIGNA history * and at the end of the day „just“ being a great person(ality), an incredible colleague, mentor, and friend. A truly great colleague is hard to find, difficult to part with, and impossible to forget. The team won‘t be the same without you. I’ll miss you big time.

There is no business like (trade) show business. Once more the LIGNA team walked the walk, covered the floor and some miles, talked business and enjoyed old and new contacts, set up schedules and made plans for the months to come - all on the road to #LIGNA25 We passed the baton and received way more: commitment to LIGNA. Thank you for all of you seen in the pics and many more we met on booths and aisles. And last but not least: Congrats to Stefan Dittrich and team for successful first two days of HOLZ-HANDWERK! * * * And while most of the team was busy in Nuremberg, our colleague Christine had a head-start over Meike in Stuttgart at LogiMAT. Whereever YOU are, are WE: being part of the community.

Seven steps to create the #LIGNA25 baton! We asked the producers of our brand new baton - Fachschule Holztechnik Melle (technical college) - how they came up with the unusual design and how they produce the beautiful piece. The result is an interesting interview including visuals of the individual production steps. Take a look - it's worth it! https://lnkd.in/eAwu-Gsi

#LignaonTour or let’s say: We are “accompanying” our LIGNA baton - this week to Stuttgart, where our Team met with some of our partners and customers. Representative of many talks and encounters we had to discuss our common goals on the road to #Ligna25, we’d like to share some impressions with you. The baton now lies in good hands and will be passed further around the world: from exhibitor to supplier, from one business unit to another, to long-standing partners. Networking and cooperation at it’s best. Thanks to all we’ve met at Dach + Holz this week. See you at LIGNA 25! We have reason to celebrate! In 2025 LIGNA will turn 50! The world's leading trade fair for the woodworking and wood processing industry emerged from HANNOVER MESSE back in 1975 at the height of the oil crisis. Since then, the event has become a permanent fixture in the calendar of the woodworking community. It is impossible to imagine the industry today without it as THE innovation and business platform. Of course, we want to live up to this reputation again at #LIGNA25! Join us on a short journey through history! On our website you'll find a chronic of the past 50 years of #LIGNA. Take a look! https://fcld.ly/uh2u02i

Today we were with #LIGNAonTour at the MINDA premises in Minden, and received our lessons in intralogistics, plant construction and conveyor technology ... obviously for the #LIGNA Team specifically focused on the units of solid wood and wood-based panel industry. Thanks a lot to our Member of the Advisory Board Robert Falch and to Dr. Ruth Wäntig for taking the time to patiently answer our questions! #LIGNA25
