For the KION Group, energy is one of the most important issues, especially since electrified products already account for 87 percent of incoming orders in the "Industrial Trucks and Services" truck segment. As recently as June 2021, KION subsidiary Linde Material Handling unveiled state-of-the-art electric truck models in the 2.5- to 3-tonne payload range that match the performance level of forklifts with internal combustion engines.

Electric forklifts, and lithium-ion forklifts in particular, are not only a good alternative to industrial trucks with conventional combustion engines, they are also a crucial piece of the puzzle on our way to resource-efficient intralogistics. But this puzzle needs many more pieces. Lithium-ion forklifts also present users with new challenges that need to be addressed - especially in energy management. To expand its portfolio of solutions here and make energy management easier for customers, the KION Group has entered into a strategic partnership with software developer ifesca GmbH for its customers.
